The country

A flat-topped plateau mostly around 8,300 to 9,200 ft breaks into deep canyons and lowlands. Cover ranges from sage, oak brush and pinyon-juniper low, through ponderosa and lodgepole pine, up to aspen, spruce and open meadows on top.
