White River and Flat Tops country, Northwest Colorado. Here's the terrain, access, and license picture, plus how to hunt it under pressure.
High, timbered Flat Tops terrain: dark spruce-fir and aspen benches broken by basins and drainages, with open parks up top. It holds snow early, and elk shift with the first hard weather.
Mostly National Forest with good trail access, which also draws hunters. Pressure eases the farther you get from the trailheads and forest roads.
Hunt away from the main access. Elk pushed by opening pressure hold in the timbered benches and basins off the trails, so plan to work a drainage or two back from the nearest road.
